I wish I would've counted how many times I have visited the doctor in my lifetime. I'll bet 95% of those visits have been in my 70's. I thought of Bill and how much he enjoyed going to the doctors. Not always for help but for the opportunity to visit and get to know them. I'm not quite as antsy to spend money to visit but I needed a little help to spark some energy. So, yesterday was the day. The doctor wanted to know what caused my anxieties and I told him one thing was riding in the car with my daughter (pointing to Jill). He gave me a prescription to close my eyes when I'm in the car. I do that quite often but now it's doctors orders. Kind of expensive advice when I already knew it. He gave me refills on three of my prescriptions and some free samples---bonus! We had to wait for quite a while so we made a list of things to fill up my days.

I think that will keep me busy. I do have a little bit of humor for today. Right now I am staying with my daughter and son-in-law. I try to knock on doors and give them their privacy but twice in one day I caught my son in law not fully dressed (my daughter left their bedroom door open). I will say no more because of possible retribution or excommunication. If this happens again I may have to report it to the stake presidency :).

I'm glad you have a blog Grandma! I'm not glad you saw my dad in whatever state it is that you saw him in! Let's just hope he doesn't walk in on you not fully dressed.
ReplyDeleteHey mom! Speaking of not being dressed, remember the time you chased me out in the cheat grass and sand in your undies and high heels? I'll be Tracy isn't near as entertaining when he's in his skivies as you were!
ReplyDeleteNow that you're staying with Jill and Tracy, perhaps you and Tracy could time your showers so that you could dry his toes while he dried yours. Don't ask Michael or Will to dry between your toes or they'll end up trying to pop each toe. (They can't help themselves)
I can assure you the streaking will never happen again. The man was making his bed one time and the second time he was ust walking in his room. My bedroom is right across the hall from theirs and if a door is open, you just naturally look in. I've got to have some excitement in my life but with this particular son-in-law, it's rare to see him out of character (his suit).
ReplyDeleteI now have a favorite blog to read. You'll have to keep us up to date on all of the interesting things that happen at the refuge.
ReplyDeleteMom, Great job in creating a blog. I will soon have some great videos to add to your blog. That should be fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm Paul and Mary Crowther's daughter. I enjoyed your funny stories. Stay out of the doctors office if you don't have to go there!
ReplyDeleteI have a new favorite blog...yours! My husband, (also Bill) has always wanted to be in your family...his sense of humor is a bit lost on mine...no offense family...it's a genetic problem! I'm happy to be the sister to the offending "not completely clad" son in-law...AKA Shannon L.
ReplyDeleteGrandma, I'm so glad that you have a blog! When Todd saw your blog, he said "Wow, your grandma is going high-tech!" You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog Grandma. You're so funny. Doesn't surprise me that you get anxious riding with Jill, I think it's Chelsea that has to take Dramamine every time she rides in a car with her too. How come I don't remember the "toes drying" story that Ben spoke of? Miss you. -Phil
